The Tunnel Five Fire ignited in Skamania County on July 2, 2023, forcing residents to evacuate the area. In addition to causing extensive personal and property damage, the fire closed down Washington State Route 14 between mile markers 56 and 65.

The fire, which spread across 500+ acres, was reported as 100% contained by July 11. Over 250 homes were threatened and at least 10 homes burned. The Washington DNR has determined the fire was caused by debris from brakes and exhaust particles from a BNSF locomotive engine. BNSF Railway is a company with a history of creating small fires across the state due to negligence.

Singleton Schreiber is preparing a legal case against BNSF to hold the company accountable for its role in the fire. Our goal is to recover the fair and full compensation that people need to move forward with their lives.

I would recommend this law firm to anyone in need of assistance in seeking fair compensation for property losses, especially from woodland fires. The staff and attorneys are very committed, professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and responsive. I always felt informed and confident as we worked our way through the legal and administrative processes.

As a Campfire survivor, Singleton was a very professional caring group that guided my family thru a very difficult time. They were prompt at returning calls and very patient with all our concerns and were very good at explaining all our questions. We were very satisfied with our outcome. Special thank you to Sean Manee and Hannah Robinson.

Camp Fire

Aneal

I am very impressed with Singleton Schreiber. We lost our home during the October 2017 Tubbs Fire in Santa Rosa. I met with Jerry Singleton and his staff a few days after the fire, and we immediately hired them to represent us. For the last four-plus years, they have guided us diligently through this very complex process. All their staff has been responsive, caring, and looking out for our best interests.

Tubbs Fire

Lori

The Woolsey Fire was a life changing moment for me and my family, as it was for many of my friends. We were introduced to Singleton Law to help guide us through some of the financial madness. The law firm was very in touch with each of us independently. They were more than competent and very professional. We felt safe in their hands and feel great about the outcome they provided.
